NetLay portable
===============
  start.cmd asks: just this PC, or share on the network (remembers your choice)
  start-local.cmd just this PC: only you, at http://localhost:8010
  start-shared.cmd share on the network: colleagues open http://<this-pc>:8010
                     (the first time it offers to allow the port through Windows Firewall
                     on work/private networks; needs admin approval)
  Another port:      start.cmd -Port 8020

Everyone signs in with their own account; the first account created is the admin and adds the
others from the account menu > Users. Layouts are only visible to people they are shared with.

Your layouts live in the data\ folder next to this file; stop NetLay before copying it elsewhere.
A backup of the database is kept in data\backups (at every start and once a day), and data\netlay.log
records what happened if the window closes unexpectedly.

To upgrade: extract the new zip into a NEW folder and move this data\ folder into it.

If the bundled environment ever breaks (e.g. after a Windows reinstall), repair it from this folder with
(needs internet; the first line puts Python where start.cmd looks for it):
  set UV_PYTHON_INSTALL_DIR=%CD%\tools\python
  tools\uv.exe python install 3.12
  set UV_PROJECT_ENVIRONMENT=%CD%\backend\.venv
  tools\uv.exe sync --project backend --frozen --no-dev
